M2M media network, a subsidiary of Omnicom Media Group, has appointed Rico Salas as Client Service Director.
An industry veteran, Rico Salas has over two decades of experience in media planning and marketing communications. Salas has led and managed accounts in different verticals: banking and finance, government, institutional, telecom, pharmaceutical, food, retail, electronics, appliances and fixtures, and even sports and apparel. Before joining M2M, Salas was AVP-Connection Director for 720° Consumer Connect, Inc. (formerly Adformatix Media Division). In this post, he was in charge of the organization’s strategy planning, account servicing, client liasons, as well as its communications portfolio.
Rico Salas’ illustrious career began with being appointed as the Media Group Head for Dentsu Young and Rubicam-Alcantara right after college. In 1992, he joined Lowe, Lintas and Partners as Deputy Media Director, where he led blue-chip brands such as Mitsubishi, Honda, Nike, Hanes, Purefoods and Smart Communications.
Advancing in his career, Salas then took on the task of being the Media Director for Carat Philippines in 2003. In the course of his career, Salas has worked with agencies such as Optimum Media and Euro-RSCG. In his career, Salas has handled prime accounts such as Meiji, Sharp, Toshiba, Philips, Wyeth, GSK, Kia, Hyundai, Nissan, and PLDT.
Salas is undoubtedly gifted with attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and a personable approach with his staff. These skills and talents have allowed him to give his previous clients a winning edge.
Leveraging his extensive industry knowledge and management experience, Salas is tasked to drive and strengthen M2M’s client service team as well as contribute to new business development.
Rico Salas’s appointment is effective immediately and he reports to Fen Marquez.
