Omnicom Media Group Philippines Welcomes Back Dan Ryan Catalan As Research Director
“My years as a freelance consultant have really sharpened my skills and broadened my knowledge about this competitive industry. I have definitely learned a lot working alone on big projects, and now I have new competencies to offer our clients here at Omnicom Media Group. It feels really good to be back.” – Dan Ryan Catalan, Research Director, Omnicom Media Group Philippines
Dan Ryan Catalan is no stranger to Omnicom Media Group Philippines. Back in 2007, he was already working as PHD Philippines’ Research Manager, where his strong analytical and research skills shone across various categories. Whether the category was in Food & Beverage, Health & Personal Care, Health & Pharmaceuticals, Banking & Insurance, Data & Telco Providers, Media, Entertainment & Politics, Mr. Catalan delivered what was expected of him.
This is why it comes as no surprise that Omnicom Media Group Philippines has appointed Dan Ryan Catalan as their new Research Director. In this role, Catalan will be responsible for strengthening OMG Philippines’ (OMD, PHD, and M2M) overall research capability and work on providing useful and up-to-date consumer and market data so as OMG’s companies will be able to deliver tailor-fit advertising solutions for their wide portfolio of clients.
Catalan’s expertise came from his years working as a Research Analyst at GMA Network Inc., prior to working as PHD Philippines’ Research Manager. After two years of working with PHD, he became a freelance Research and Strategic Marketing Consultant at award-winning advertising agencies such as TBWA-SMP. His other prized clients include renowned research companies such as Millward Brown, Saffron Hill, and PSRC.
As a freelancer in the years 2009 to 2012, Dan Catalan specialized in strategic marketing, consumer insights & brand planning, TAM analysis, and customized qualitative and quantitative researching.
“Now that Dan Ryan’s on board, our clients can expect more research-centric initiatives from OMG and its media specialist brands. We are all glad that he is back to share with us his proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, and not to mention his ability to translate research findings into communication initiatives.” – Nic Gabunada Jr., CEO and President, Omnicom Media Group Philippines
